Back To School

Wow it’s really hard to believe I have a fourth grader, a first grader, and a pre-k kid! Now it’s just me and Lincoln in a quiet house during the morning hours. Luckily Nevaeh only goes for a few hours in the morning. I’m far from bored…I have plenty of work to keep me busy [...]

Lincoln’s Speech Evaluation

I never got around to posting on the ol’ blog about Lincoln’s speech evaluation. When I took him in for his 2 year check up the doctor said she didn’t think he was talking enough. He was babbling more than really talking and he wasn’t combining two words yet. I was actually really taken aback [...]

On Hope:

So here I am laying in bed tonight and I can’t sleep. So like I usually do I have to come down and write because maybe if I get all this stuff out of my head I’ll be able to sleep so I can get up early to get the kids off to school!
I’m [...]

The Luckiest Mom in the World…

Adrian has said a few things that were so fantastic for Glen and I. First the other day Glen and I were sitting on the couch chatting and Adrian came in from the other room with Glen’s t-shirt on. He had the biggest grin on his face and he said “Look at this!” He was [...]

Family Update

We’re all doing great around here. Glen and I have been hard core on our diet and we are both down almost 20 pounds each. It’s going really well, we both feel motivated and are glad to eat healthy and exercise and teach the kids to do that too. We were sick around here for [...]

The Consultation Service for Children with Challenging Behaviors

**Update
Adrian woke up with a fever the day we were supposed to go. I had decided that we would give him tylenol and try to do it anyway because I did not want him to miss out on this. So I gave him tylenol and got everyone ready. As we were walking out the door [...]

Ok, so I’ve been neglecting the blog again but I guess it’s quality and not quantity. I’m very appreciative.
We’ve been [...]

Adrian’s IEP February 2010

I had Adrian’s IEP meeting yesterday morning. They are always hard for me and I try to just walk away from it without crying, I didn’t cry yesterday but it was very close.
Present at the meeting was Adrian’s teacher, speech pathologist, school counselor, a representative from the area education agency, and school principal. First [...]

I haven’t been keeping up with the blog very well. I’ve been spending much less time on the computer than I used to but thought I could update real quick.
Adrian’s IEP meeting is this coming Friday. I’m always nervous for these and generally have a very “emotional” week during his IEP meeting weeks. We’ll [...]
