About
When I started this blog back in 2006 it was going to be just about autism but over time it’s become more of a family journal. I’ve always kept a journal almost my whole life so now I’m doing that here. If you have any questions about autism or need support in any way in dealing with a new diagnosis feel free to comment on any post and I will do anything I can to help. Thank you for visiting me and reading about our adventures or lack thereof.

Press Release: NOURISHING HOPE – NUTRITION INTERVENTION FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM
We felt the members of your blog would be interested in this radio interview and simulcast:
Conversations Live with Vicki St. Clair Presents: NOURISHING HOPE – NUTRITION INTERVENTION FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM
April 21, 2008 – Noon PST
KKNW 1150 (Seattle); and streaming live http://66.192.178.196:7750/listen.pls
Today’s guest, Julie Matthews, is a Certified Nutrition Consultant specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder, and has been a DAN practitioner for five years. She applied seven years of study into understanding the impact of food and environmental toxins on the health and brain function of children. But she’s not promoting a ‘diet’ – she calls herself a ‘diet synthesizer’.
Julie Matthew’s goal is to empower people’s ability to further health and healing. We’ll discuss how biochemical imbalances create a neurological disorder; how genetics come into play; how environmental toxins can alter genetics; beneficial dietary options; and a holistic nutritional approach to healing.
Julie Matthews’ work is based on scientific research, biochemistry, and the healing role of nutrition. She has her own private practice and radio show in San Francisco.

Hi Joy — Can you send me an email to jeannine@nourishinghope.com? I wanted your advice regarding reaching out to parents in the Bay Area. We’ve created a really great autism treatment workshop for parents on January 30th — http://www.autismhopeinaction.com Thanks! Jeannine
